The day was early afternoon maybe about twelve or a little past and Mona was out shopping and whatever else she needed to do. Today Mona didn't want to sit at home alone staring at the tv or study, she wanted to get out and do something to keep her mind off of everything and relax. As Mona was about done with most of her shopping she yawn and realized she needs some coffee, she had been up early and she was getting tired and it was not a time for her to go get a nap so best thing for her was to get coffee in her system. Leaving the store Mona got into her car and starting the car Mona pulled out of parking lot and headed her way to starbucks where she knew had the best coffee.
Pulling up to the starbucks Mona parked the car fixing her hair in the rear view mirror she got out locking the car then going inside to get her a coffee and maybe a scone to get some food in her stomach since it would be growling sooner or later. There was a lot of chatter as soon as Mona walked inside and there was a bit of a line and as she groans she slumped over and took her place in line and waited her hands shaking as she needed caffeine and sugar fast. After a long while of waiting in line it was Mona's turn to order and she just orders a java chip the biggest size she can get and a banana and poppy seed muffin and as she paid she told them her name so they could put it on the cup and begin making her drink.
Mona moved out of line after grabbing her muffin form the cashier and she looked for a seat to sit and wait for her drink. It was nice outside but she could not go and sit outside yet for she would not hear her name when her drink was ready, seeing an open chair Mona took a seat waiting for her drink and taking a bite out of her muffin. The person called Mona's name, she smiled and walked up to the counter grabbing her drink and nodding she then headed outside and took a seat at one of the tables that had the umbrella open and set her muffin down she sat down taking a big drink of her java chip before setting it down, it was just what Mona needed for her long day ahead.

And the world's gonna know your name
'Cause you burn with the brightest flame
There were days that Jack’s job was extremely easy. Those were good days as a firefighter. But they weren’t a common thing. Especially since he’d moved to the truck. They not only went out to fires, but to car crashes as well. There were days when the job was really hard. It was those days that he took solstice in his 48 hours off. But the last 24 hours on shift hadn’t been bad. There’d been a few calls, but nothing had been too bad. He’d even managed to get some sleep in at the firehouse. Because of that, when he got off shift at noon, he didn't feel like going home. With no one there for him other than his chinchilla, he’d chosen to get coffee instead. Pulling up to the Starbucks, Jackson eyed the drive thru line for a moment before deciding to park and go inside. For it being noon on a weekday, the place was fairly packed. But Jackson was fine with that as he fell into line while staring up at the board. Most of the time he just drank coffee at the firehouse or home. None of this fancy stuff. Would it be rude of him to order just black coffee? His face turning thoughtful, he read the menu until he was next in line. Salted Caramel Mocha. That sounded good. Placing his order, Jackson paid and moved to wait off to the side until his name was called. Taking a place standing near the door, he started in on one of his favorite pastimes while out. People watching. With his place near the door he was able to see most of the people in the cafe. It also allowed him to open the door for anyone that he saw coming to it. It was just how his mother had raised him. When his name was finally called, he went and retrieved the drink with a smile and a thank you to the barista. A quick glance around the inside of the store told him that he was better off finding a spot outside. Besides, it was nice out. Pushing the door open, he glanced around at the few tables that were outside. “Afternoon.” He said, tossing a smile to the other woman that he saw outside. He moved to sit at the table next to her, though his didn’t have an umbrella up. Setting his drink down on the table, he pulled his sunglasses down over his eyes before lifting the coffee drink to his lips and took a sip. It was different, sweeter than he’d been expecting, but it was good.
